Last month you had an overseas holiday with some friends where you stayed at their house. They have just sent you some holiday photos.

Write a letter to your friends.

In your letter:

  • Thank them for the holiday and the photos
  • Explain why you didn’t write earlier
  • Invite them to come and stay with you

Write at least 150 words. You need not write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows,

Dear______ ,

Dear John and Tom,

How are you? I hope this letter finds you well. It has been a while since we interacted. I was planning to write to you for long but could not manage.

Firstly, thank you so much not only for such a memorable holiday in Sydney but also for the lovely photos that you dispatched of the holiday. I was eagerly waiting for them to show to family friends here. I must say all the photos are quite wonderful as they brought all memories back to me so vividly.

Sorry, it has taken me so long to write back and say thank you, however, as soon as I landed back in India, I had a much-awaited job interview. Hence, I was busy with preparation for the same and the real interview. I have finally landed a job for myself in my dream company Zenta Motors as a Design Engineer. Unfortunately, I am shifting to Bangalore as the company’s headquarters are there. So, with all the shifting and new job, I could not write earlier.

Next month, I am planning to have a reunion with all our college friends who are now staying at my new place in Bangalore. You must come without any excuse and of course, you must stay with me as my new accommodation has plenty of room. I will pick you up at the airport.

Take care and write back soon.

Warm regards,
